Mars City
2019
Without space itself being our limit I paired up with two associates, Isaiah and Evan to create a suitable home for a colony in Mars. Once given the green light we begun to do research about this foreign planet and on the supplies we could bring aboard the spaceship, acting as a limiting factor. We divided the work to be efficient when it came to things such as food supplies, building formatting and scaling, compound designs, and energy outputs and inputs to choose the best ones among our ideas. After that was sorted we needed to decide where this city was going to be located within the planet, and we came across what was known as lava tubes. This special type of natural formed tube is created by a low-viscosity lava that later hardens over time to create a cave like shape along the edges or lowest points of its stay. These tubes were also good to seal and control heat from the outside, perfect for the colony knowing that we can manipulate climate that can reach down to -220℉ on the surface level. Once we found a cite we decided to head over to the concept field. We noticed that inhabiting a new planet would need simplistic as well as efficient and economical system within the peoples colony, So we agreed upon the concept of formatting, having everything organized is the most efficient as well as safest way of having a home, buildings, parks and even roofs. Later on we moved to design concluding that tessellation was not only a simplistic matter of design but also an organized way of puzzling shapes together, materials for the build would be Martian rock, metal as well as glass. A space outpost outside the colony on the Martian surface was designed with an intention to serve the underground city. plantation would grow on the roofs with a specific variety of trees, vegetables and fruits. knowing that the city would be in an enclosed space moisture could be gathered to accumulate into water.
